Summary: For the price, its great!
Comment: This looks more expensive than it really is. The assembly is a bit complicated since there are so many pieces, but once its completely done, it feels really sturdy. It took me about 30 to 40 minutes to put this together.

Its made of laminate wood, but the dark color makes it look nice. I picked this up directly from Target at the store to save on shipping costs.

Comment: First the good: Despite some problem with assembling (like not having screw holes where wood screws are supposed to go), it's fairly easy to build (even if it took about an hour). Also, it's fairly attractive for a piece of cheap furniture.

Regretfully, the particle board smells terrible. Being in the same room as this piece gives me a mild headache. I'm going to toss this simply because I can't be in the same room as it. Even with all the windows open in my apartment, I can still smell it.

Summary: Great deal at a low price
Comment: I needed a small bookcase for my home office, and the two-shelf Espresso bookcase from Target caught my eye. I really like the rich, dark color, and the shelves are wide and also very deep. My husband put the bookcase together for me and he didn't have any major problems with it. There were two small pieces that wouldn't screw in properly, but the bookcase seems sturdy enough without them. The wood has several small imperfections that are barely noticeable and can easily be touched up. Overall, I am impressed with this product. It's attractive and functional, and you just can't beat the $59 price! I'm probably going to order several of the five-shelf Espresso bookcases as well. I just wish Target offered a desk that matches this collection.
